The New Car Assessment Program in China can be classified into various categories such as the frontal impact, seat safety and car safety applications. With the star rating system, a 5 star rating is considered as the highest standard.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - New Car
Assessment Program
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has created the New Car Assessment Program to provide consumers with diverse vehicle test results that inform about the frontal crashworthiness and rollover resistance ratings of new cars. Government 5-Star Safety Ratings are part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s New Car Assessment Program (www.SaferCar.gov). With the star rating system, a 5 star rating is considered as the highest standard.
Euro-New Car Assessment Program (EURO-NCAP) is based on a series of vehicle tests conducted in the European region to provide the safety rating standards of new cars. With the star rating system, a 5 star rating is considered as the highest standard. The rating result also includes the assessment of child and adult occupant protection, pedestrian protection and the result of the safety assist area.
