Hyundai and Skolkovo Innovation Center Announce Partnership

May 29, 2019 – Hyundai Motor Commonwealth of Independence States (HMCIS) and Skolkovo Innovation Center today announced a mobility partnership to develop IT solutions and new services for customers. The move marks the first step for HMCIS into the sphere of mobility.


Under the partnership, HMCIS will establish the Hyundai Mobility Lab inside the Skolkovo Innovation Center. A new IT platform will be developed with a smart mobility subscription service where users can rent a Hyundai car online for a period of time with a range of complementary services.


“I would like to thank the Skolkovo Innovation Center for the partnership and new prospects,” said Kyeongsu Son, Head of Hyundai Motor Russia & CIS Headquarters. “We look forward to further cooperation in developing new IT solutions to improve the lives of our customers.”

The Skolkovo Innovation Center is a high-tech platform housing the best talents and their work to develop future technologies. The Hyundai Mobility Lab within the complex is expected to launch its service in the second half of this year.


Hyundai Motor has been broadening its business domain from manufacturing into mobility services to meet the needs of customers. The company aims to lead the future of mobility by offering customers smart and safe transportation experiences.


More information about the Hyundai Mobility Lab service will be available later this year.
